Luciana Paoluzzi was born Rome and was raised in Rome by her parents. Her father was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian military officer. Maria Rota Paoluzzi was one of the mistresses of Benito Mussolini. Her siblings are unknown. Luciana is the only woman who graduated from her high school class from Milan. Luciana also studied nautical engineering at the time. Luciana first became a fashion model after just two years. The direction of her career was changed afterwards, when by pure chance she landed her first role as a character in Three Coins in the Fountain. Her first marriage was with Brett Halsey who is also an actor. They completed Return to the Peyton Palace together after their 1960 wedding. Luciana received custody after the couple broke up a few years later. Charles became a baby. Luciana was involved in a romantic relationship with Tony Athony from 1962 and 1970. He is an actor/producer who was inspired by her character to write and direct this Spaghetti Western hybrid based on her role as Green Slime.
