Katie Lowes

Katie Lowes has gained acclaim for her role on "Scandal" at ABC however her enthusiasm for theater was born as a childhood passion. Lowes, who was raised and born in Queens (New York) had a passion for performing and singing with her family and acquaintances. However, unlike other children who entertain, Lowes' love of singing and performing did not fall by the back of the pack as she grew to maturity. Lowes only became more driven and determined in her art, and eventually enrolled in the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in New York University. In 2002, she proved her talent with the starring part in "Four Saints of Mexico" the Tisch production. She would later get her degree to pursue a career in. Lowes had some memorable appearances including the role she played in the "Rescue Me pilot" (FX from 2004 to 2011). In the course of her professional career, Lowes was the nanny who watched over the son and actress Connie Britton. In the end she was able to land the part as Quinn Perkins on Shonda Rhimes' political drama "Scandal" (ABC 2011- ) the role that she instantly felt a bond with, as her own real name in life is Quinn. Lowes became a household face and name due to the series. She also met Adam Shapiro who she married in 2012.
